Queer Punk Friday
First off, Red Lotus is a complete gem in an entirely nondescript old factory building in Crown Heights. I can’t wait to go back. Secondly, until last night I hadn’t been in the same dark, alcohol-infused room with so many truly beautiful people in a long time. There were a few moments where I was giggly and smiley due to the beauty I was enveloped in. And third, all of the bands were amazing. Pocatello and Suspicious Packages were filled with mandolin, banjo, and accordion goodness and magic, and a friend from work kicked ass on the drums for Girlcrush, and KILLED IT on vocals and guitar for GLTR PNCH. Folk + punk = Friday night happiness. And, there was glitter in the pit. Winning! Success!
